County courts FEMA for beach sand funds

Santa Rosa County officials are still not sure if the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will pay for replacing chunks of Navarre Beach lost to Hurricane Sally.
The shape of Navarre Beach changed significantly following Hurricane Sally. Santa Rosa County estimates 265,000 cubic yards of sand were lost.
Commissioners discussed and agreed April 22 not to allow food trucks to set up on public property unless they were part of a permitted event.
