Condemned homes on Avenida De Sol being torn down

Centers of controversy for years, two homes on Avenida De Sol which were prone to flooding are no more.

Purchased by Santa Rosa County in late Summer 2024 from their homeowners, the houses at 2252 and 2260 Avenida De Sol were torn down Jan. 14 and 15.

The houses on Avenida De Sol, which were condemned after repeated flooding issues caused the County to purchase them, were torn down.
