The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in 2013 held meetings in northwest Florida to develop a bear management plan with the goal being to reduce the number of conflicts between bears and humans. Since then, a bear management stakeholder group has met twice to brainstorm ways to best accomplish the plan’s goal.
