Beach Access 37A closed as crews begin work on restoration project

Navarre Beach visitors will be limited on where they can go on the beach this winter.

As part of the Navarre Beach Restoration Project, heavy equipment began staging on Thursday, Dec. 5 at Navarre Beach Access 37A. The access is closed to the public until further notice beginning Tue., Dec. 3.

Beach Access 37A is the first staging ground for the Navarre Beach Restoration Project, commonly referred to as beach renourishment. Over the next month and a half, the Project will make its way down the beach, helping bring more sand onto the beach. The actual dredging of Navarre Beach is expected to commence on Dec. 15.
