Back-to-school deals at Saltwater Cottage

Summer break has come to a close and school is officially back in session. Saltwater Cottage in Navarre wants to celebrate our teachers with some back-to-school appreciation.

All teachers get a 10% off discount at Saltwater Cottage. Saltwater wants to show appreciation to these professionals for their heart for children. They pour wisdom and inspiration into their students daily and deserve ample love and support.

Students can find purpose-driven jewelry and devotional books to inspire classmates when they ask, “what’s that you’re reading or wearing?”

The trendy boutique on highway 98 has also expanded their baby selection of gifts and must-have items. Come find teethers, blankets, swaddles, bibs, and the newest to the line up: functional and super cute diaper bags!

This past May Saltwater Cottage celebrated its 10th birthday.

The Saltwater staff wants to thank everyone who’s been a part of Saltwater Cottage over the past decade.

“It’s taken a village to get us up to this point,” manager and Saltwater Tribe leader Bridget House said. “Not only is 10 a big birthday because we’re double digits, but 10 on the other side of the last couple years is nothing but God.”

House admitted that small business right now is hard, and it’s taken the community and the support of everybody to keep Saltwater going strong.

“We truly appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts,” she said.

Artist Brian Frosch makes the Spoken2 bracelets sold at Saltwater Cottage. These bracelets are made of bicycle spokes, and each has a unique glass bead in the middle.

“He hand-blows each glass bead, so no two are ever alike,” House said. “He uses the bicycle spoke because we’re all spokes in the wheel of life so to speak. Not if, but when, you’re that bottom spoke and you feel like you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders, because of your tribe (the other spokes in the wheel), you’re not crushed by that weight because everyone’s helping carry the load.”

The shop is stocked with intentional gifts and decor to turn the focus to something bigger, someone so much bigger.

“It’s more than a gift purchased from Saltwater, but rather a gift to start conversations about our Jesus,” she added.

Some of the unique finds you can buy at Saltwater include inspirational wall décor and shower soap-infused loofahs.

All of their items are selected based on the stories they spark, the organizations the companies give back to, or the ministries they support.

They also have a selection of delicious food items, including charcuterie board pieces and Frontier soup mixes, where you add a few ingredients and it tastes homemade in minutes.

Saltwater Cottage carries a little bit of everything from inspirational books, handcrafted jewelry, Turkish towels and baby toys to cute dog collars and fun chew toys.

Candles are a bestseller at Saltwater Cottage and are hand poured by owner Julie Condon. She crafts each fragrance, and each candle has a story and is individually prayed over.

The newest candle called “Twelve” was released on the store’s 10th birthday. It represents the 12 disciples, the 12 tribes of Israel and their local Twelve Prayer Group.

“It’s a great conversation starter about how we are called to spread the Good News and be the hands and feet of Jesus,” House said.

Keep starting those ripples of kindness, we are making waves!
