Marlins prospect Jake Eder getting back to where he was before injury
Jake Eder could have unraveled as he walked his third straight batter to load up the bases on an early July evening at Blue Wahoos Stadium, putting himself in a position no pitcher wants to face.
This was only his third Double-A start of 2023, and an important one with it being his first at home since the elbow injury two years ago that derailed his career at the time.

Hard work helps heal Helton
Jack Helton played through the pain last fall. It wasn’t easy. A bone calcification had broken off and was embedded in his patellar tendon in his right knee.
“It happened the summer going into my sophomore season. When I walked, it scraped against it,” Helton said.

Navarre alum happy with progress made in second season at Florida
Day one of Bri Edwards’ sophomore gymnastics season at Florida could not have gone much better. She got things rolling with a collegiate career-best vault mark of 9.85.
It was the start of another successful year for the former Navarre Raider who said she grew as a college student and adult while feeling more comfortable in her environment as a Division I athlete.

Albury named head baseball coach, AD at Lighthouse Christian College
Wayne Albury is entering a build-it-from-ground-up type of situation as the new athletic director and baseball coach at Lighthouse Christian College.
He’ll officially take on both roles in August, and for Albury, being part of a new program isn’t new.
