Four Navarre Raiders signed national letters of intent last Wednesday afternoon, including three softball players. Harmony Stafford and Jessica Farrer will continue their softball careers at Bishop State while Cailyn Cooke is headed to Gulf Coast State to play softball. Payton Provo signed with Faulkner for cheerleading.

Energy and effort. It’s a positive sign for a Navarre team that, while it will have a different look than the past couple of seasons, still expects to contend for a district title and more.

Kileigh Whited ran up the field in last week’s Gulf South Conference tournament opener hoping to make a play on the ball. A 70-yard sprint to glory. This was her golden opportunity to score a rare goal. Brianna Pope stopped just outside the left side of the circle, putting the ball in the middle of the field, and Whited did the rest, running up to it and kicking it past the goalie and into an open net as she fell to the ground.
