Navarre’s girls soccer team came into Wednesday night’s battle with Pace feeling good about its latest surge of success and its place in the District 1-6A regional poll.
The Raiders stood atop it, unbeaten in eight of its last nine games, poised to seal the deal on the top seed for the district tournament.
Tyler Lewis had a record-breaking season last fall while on Navarre’s swim team.
He set new marks in the 500 Freestyle (5:04.50) and 200 Freestyle (1:55.43).

“One time my parents grounded me, and they grounded me from soccer practice,” Fralick said. “That gives you a hint of how important the game is to me. I still feel that way about it.”
The second set of FHSAA regional rankings have been released for girls and boys basketball.
The top eight teams at the end of the season in 6A will make the playoffs while the top four will get into the 1A playoffs. District champions earn an automatic berth.
Jonah Forrest is taking his basketball talents to NCAA Division III Belhaven next season. He committed to the school recently for a couple of reasons.
“The campus and the culture there had a huge effect, but how they play basketball was a huge factor,” Forrest said.
During her time as a high school athlete at Navarre, Hailey Neely always knew her dad, J.R., would be in the stands watching her compete.
Now, the two are on the same side of the athletic world, both coaches with the Raider girls basketball team.
