Stingrays split games at EscaRosa Challenge
The Lighthouse Private Christian Academy boys basketball team split its two games at the EscaRosa Challenge last week.
The Stingrays beat Pensacola Catholic 63-55 Monday but lost 67-43 to Booker T. Washington on Tuesday. They are now 1-1 on the season.

Dreams of an NCAA Division II national championship run faded fast for the University of West Florida football team Saturday afternoon at McCool Stadium in Mississippi.
In an opening round playoff battle against Delta State that was expected to be competitive, the Argos never got on track, falling behind 35-0 at the half and losing 49-14 as their 2023 campign ended in heartbreak.

Just minutes into a preseason game against Pine Forest at Booker T. Washington last Tuesday night, it’s evident the Raiders are not going away without a fight.
They defend hard and are quick to force turnovers. And while it doesn’t add up to a victory against one of the more athletic and talented teams in the area, head coach Abby Fogg came away from the game feeling good about the effort her team put forth.

Standard of success continues for UWF football
Kaleb Nobles held his baby in his lap as he sat down for a postgame press conference after a big win for the University of West Florida in the regular season finale against Chowan.
Nobles spent the inaugural year here for the Argos in 2016 as the quarterback and spent time on the coaching staff as well, including when UWF won the NCAA Division II national championship in 2019.
