Navarre head softball coach Jacqueline Othmani knows her team has a lot of potential. And the Raiders have shown it lately, winning six of seven after starting the year 1-3.

The latest win for Navarre’s flag football team was a little different as the Raiders played and defeated an out of state team for the first time in program history.


The Raiders rolled to a 19-0 victory over Cleveland (Tenn.) on March 12 at Bennett C. Russell Stadium, improving to 6-4 and taking a little extra momentum into spring break.

The first set of regional rankings for baseball are out, and Pace, Jay and Central are among the area teams in the top eight.

Pace is second in Region 1-6A while Jay and Central are first and third, respectively, in Rural Region 1. Navarre and Milton are 12th in their respective regions.

It was one last hurrah for the area’s top senior girls basketball players as the East won 65-29 over the West in the Pensacola Sports Association All-Star Game on March 12 at Hartsell Arena.
