State champion Kylie Shelley looks to future
In February, Kylie Shelley won the state weightlifting championship in the 119-pound weight division. However, she felt there was something missing. “It was a much better feeling in 2013, when we won the team championship,” Shelley said. “We stood on that platform together to accept our championship medals. We had worked hard together and it was only right that we celebrated together.”

Maroon wins 41 – 35 in scrimmage game

Cyclists ride to remember, raise awareness
For the first time, Pensacola was a site for the annual, nationwide observance of “Ride of Silence” to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured by motorists. The event was also designed to bring awareness to “Sharing the Road,” a cyclist-motorists awareness program.
