As he sits outside on a bench at Navarre High School on a mild spring afternoon, Nick Brahms reflects on how crazy the last month or so has been in terms of the number of football scholarship offers that have come rolling in.
Navarre was supposed to play Crestview at home on Friday, March 11 in the second game of their two game district series. They had to wait three extra days because of Mother Nature, but the Raiders got just the result they were looking for.
As the regular season winds down for Navarre’s tennis teams, head coach Rob Whitley is quick to point out the improvements the Raiders have made this year.
In the end, the result was the same. Navarre lost another softball game to District 2-7A power Niceville, falling 11-1 in six innings to the Eagles Tuesday night at home.
Parents and friends gathered on Saturday to recognize the 2015 – 2016 Raider weightlifting team for capturing its second straight state title. It was also their third state title in the last four years.
Marcus Richardson only scored seven points in Friday night’s Subway High School All-Star Basketball game but the impact the Navarre senior had on the outcome of the game was hard to ignore.
Navarre played three games last week and came away with a 2-1 record. The Raiders thumped Escambia 10-2 and split a home-and-home series with Milton, winning 6-5 before falling 5-4.
