Otis Simmons used to be a custodian at Holley Navarre Intermediate. He was well known among the students and would pop into classrooms on occasion to joke around with them.


More than a decade later, Simmons is still at Holley Navarre, now working as a gym teacher, and he’s also the new basketball commissioner at NYSA.

With work being done on the gym floor at the high school, the Raiders have gotten their  workouts rolling here in Gulf Breeze and they have come in ready to work.

Navarre’s football team is inching closer to the start of its 2025 season.

The Raiders went 3-7 a year ago. But they are aiming to flip the script and get back on track after enduring their first losing season since 2009.
