Navarre’s tennis season started a little later this year, but that was by design. Head coach Rob Whitley wanted to make sure his team got enough practice time in before the year began.
Although the final score wasn’t what Logan Townsend had hoped for in Thursday night’s Subway All-Star Soccer Game in Pensacola, the Navarre senior was thankful he had a chance to play high school soccer one last time.
It comes as no surprise that Emily Madril is the 4A State Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Navarre junior has established herself as one of the best in Florida and the recognition is something she feels honored to receive.
The toughest thing for Navarre head basketball coach Taf Bentley to deal with Thursday night in Tallahassee wasn’t that his Raiders were eliminated from postseason play by Lincoln, it’s that the 2015-16 season is over.
Navarre’s 2016 baseball season began in earnest Feb. 9, and the team went 2-1 in week one. The Raiders recorded blow out wins over Gulf Breeze and Washington and lost a close one to Pace at the end of the week.
