Skylar Mayo was told by Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Athletic Director Robert Schneider that if there was an ever an opening for a coach within the athletic program Schneider headed up, he would hire him.

That was back in 2013 when Mayo was playing football at Southeastern University and Schneider was an assistant coach at the time at the school.
