Three years ago in Ryan Davenport’s first season as the head coach of Navarre’s volleyball team, the Raiders stumbled in their opener, losing in three games to Milton. Later that season, Navarre avenged the setback with a three-game win.

Which is why Davenport isn’t too concerned about last Tuesday’s season-opening loss to Milton in a match that had a playoff-like feel to it.

District play is back a year after the COVID-19 pandemic created a situation where there were no districts in 2020.
