Several Navarre Raiders earn all-state honors in football
Four Navarre Raiders have been recognized by Floridahsfootball.com as all-state players.
Seniors Dwayne Clark Jr., Jadon Reese and Ethan Newman, as well as sophomore Eddie Love Jr., were all honorable mention selections on the site’s Class 4S team.

Navarre comes through with another top three finish at state weightlifting meet
Navarre’s quest for a three-peat at state in girls weightlifting came up short Saturday evening at the RP Funding in Lakeland.
The Raiders, aiming to continue their run of consecutive titles in the traditional competition, ended up third overall despite a solid all-around effort. It’s only the sixth time in the 19-year history of the state meet that Navarre didn’t finish first or second.
Raiders have strong showing in preseason softball games
Navarre head softball coach Will Koch was pleased his team picked up a win over Northview in its preseason opener Monday in Gulf Breeze, and yet he was still looking for more out of his team in the wake of a 7-6 win against the Chiefs.
“The first game we weren’t as sharp and didn’t have as much energy. We came out flat,” Koch said. “It was a little concerning. We had a meeting afterwards.”
Raiders sweep invitational titles at Baker
Navarre’s boys weightlifting team made it a sweep of the Northwest Florida Invitational at Baker Wednesday afternoon.
The Raiders won the traditional competition with 66 points, nearly double the total Pace (39) had, and won the Olympic competition with 73 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Milton (41).
Eberhardt aims to help motivated Raider weightlifting team have success
Bryce Eberhardt is coming off an impressive junior season in which he finished third at the 3A state meet in the traditional competition of clean and jerk and bench press.
His senior season, however, started off with a bit of a bump in the road, though that is now in the rear-view mirror as the senior standout was back in action last Wednesday in a dual home meet against Niceville.
Cole to play football at Birmingham-Southern
Isaac Cole had a knack for getting pressure on the quarterback this season. And even if he didn’t come away with a sack, the standout defensive lineman for the Navarre Raiders often forced the signal caller to make a decision he probably didn’t want to make.
Now Cole is set to take his talents to the college level where he’ll play ball for NCAA Division III Birmingham-Southern.
Raiders set to field ‘best squad to date’ in boys lacrosse
Navarre’s boys lacrosse team is coming off its best season in the short history of the program. The Raiders won six games, doubling their win total from the year prior, and now head into the fourth year of lacrosse at the school hoping to take things a step further.
