Chase Richardson and Alex Woodall didn’t expect their one-year run with the competitive cheer team at Navarre to lead them down a path to a college scholarship.
Yet, that’s exactly what happened for the Raider seniors as both have signed national letters of intent to continue their careers at Florida Gulf Coast.

Cronin has been promoted to Triple-A Rochester after a strong showing with Double-A Harrisburg.
Chambers never doubted chance to play college football
Even after Kyle Chambers had his senior football season cut short in early November because of an injury, he never stopped believing he was going to get an opportunity to play college football.
“I never really felt like it was the end. I had certain schools interested in me from camps and other showcases, so I had confidence that I was going to continue on to a collegiate program,” Chambers said.

The Navarre Raider senior is taking his talents to NCAA Division III Millsaps this fall.
UWF to host football camps in July
A big weekend of camps is ahead at the University of West Florida in early July.
The Argos will host a Friday Night Lights camp on July 8 and then a Specialist Show Out camp on July 10. That same day, UWF will have a Sunday Night Showdown camp.

Progress made, but still work to do as Navarre wraps up spring practice
EJ Love dodged a few tackles and found the end zone on two different occasions, getting lifted into the air by one of his offensive lineman after scoring his first touchdown of the night in Friday’s spring game against Gulf Breeze.
Those two touchdowns were the only ones of the night for the Raiders in the varsity half of the game at Bennett C. Russell Stadium, with Navarre losing that half 28-7 before winning the second half of the game by a 14-7 score.
Navarre soccer standout continuing soccer career with NAIA powerhouse
Sean Murphy has high hopes for the next step in soccer career.
He signed a national letter of intent with NAIA Division I power Central Methodist and looks forward to the opportunity in front of him.
