Summer workouts making a difference for Raider swim team
The sun has been up for a little over an hour, and here in the Pullum YMCA pool on a humid Wednesday morning in late June, the Raider swimmers are putting in work.
Back and forth they go in the lanes, stopping on occasion for a breather, but determined to keep the momentum going as they utilize the summer months to improve.
Busch named all-state in flag football
Natalie Busch made quite an impression as a freshman on the Navarre flag football team and ended up earning all-state recognition because of it.
Busch was named an honorable mention pick on the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-State team last week.

A defining moment for Navarre Xpress unfolded on a sweltering Sunday in early June at Sherman Robinson Stadium in Pensacola.
The boys team representing the local track club won an AAU district championship. The girls placed second. Combined, the two teams scored the most points of any other team at the area meet.

Navarre’s girls basketball team is about to be tested in a summer league game against Crestview, and the pressure is welcomed for a team that won a lot of games easily last year but is expected to find itself in tighter contests this season after losing two of its best players to graduation.
Raider volleyball team hosting youth camp
Navarre’s volleyball team is hosting a volleyball camp July 18-21 at the high school.
The camp is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for students in grades second through fifth and from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. for students in grades sixth through eighth.
Raider boys hoops team staying focused on the process

Jordan Jefferson continues to excel with Mountaineers
Jordan Jefferson was 17 when he arrived on the campus of West Virginia for his first year of college football.
It wasn’t an easy adjustment to make considering he was a little younger than his peers, but the former Navarre Raider found a way to navigate the transition, playing in 11 games and starting once.
Koch takes over as head coach of Raider softball team
Will Koch kept it as simple when it came to his feelings on being named the new head softball coach at Navarre on June 27.
“I told the principal, Kasie Windfelder, I am blessed and honored,” Koch said.
