Navarre volleyball team earns regional berth
A volleyball season that has already been one of the best in school history just got a little better for Navarre, which learned Saturday night it will play in the postseason.
The Raiders earned a 6A regional berth and will face off against county rival Gulf Breeze Wednesday night. Game time is expected to be 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and will be confirmed on Monday.
Navarre holds off Pace; sets stage for district title showdown
Three minutes and nine seconds remained on the clock and Navarre found itself on the edge of heartbreak.
Its nine-point lead had been trimmed to two after allowing Pace to score a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Now Navarre had to do something to seal the deal and ensure nothing stood in its way of playing for a district championship next week.

While the postseason is still a few weeks away, Navarre’s 7:30 p.m. showdown with Pace on Friday night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium will have a playoff-like feel to it.
Both the Raiders and the Patriots are ranked in the top eight of the Region 1-4S power rankings, with Navarre checking in at four and Pace sitting in eighth.

The latest FHSAA regional power rankings are out and Navarre finds itself in a position to make the postseason in 2022.
The Raiders are up one spot to No. 4 this week and have an opportunity to solidify that ranking when it battles Pace in a crucial showdown Friday night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
Raider volleyball team rolls into district final
Navarre’s volleyball team is headed back to the district championship match.
The Raiders earned the right to play for the title for the second consecutive year by knocking off Pace in three sets Tuesday night in a District 1-6A final at home.
Argos ranked 15th in men’s soccer poll
The University of West Florida men’s soccer team is ranked 15th in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll.
The Argos are 8-2-3 overall and 6-0-3 in the Gulf South Conference.
Navarre Raider swim teams shine at county meet
Excitement, energy and races that went down to the wire. It was all bundled into one to set the stage for a highly competitive Santa Rosa County Meet last Thursday afternoon at the Pullum YMCA.
At the end of the meet, Navarre’s girls swim team stood tall as county champions, winning despite claiming first in only three events.
Raiders come away from clash with rival feeling hopeful
Down two sets to none and on the brink of being swept for the fifth consecutive time against rival Gulf Breeze, Navarre dug in and battled back last Thursday night.
The Raiders weren’t going to let the Dolphins just cruise to another easy win. They served the ball well, came up with key kills and got after it defensively, diving on the floor to keep the ball in play.
