On 2/4/202, I bore witness to the deep-rooted and systemic issues that are a cancer in our county, state and country.

When 220+ signatures of verified voters in Santa Rosa County voicing opposition to a county board of commissioners’ (all documented and available for public verification on BOCC website) empty resolution saying we support their resolution when we do not, ignoring our voices, is plain wrong.

I grew up in Mobile. Navarre was our most favorite secluded beach. In the 60s, my family would vacation in Destin.

By the early 70s, my friends and I had driver’s licenses and when it was just us guys wanting to spend a few days away camping and fishing, we always went to Navarre Beach.

Please answer WHY Navarre NEEDS another Dollar Store? And who approves this in our county?

Especially since there is another one just a block or two down (State Road) 87 already! 

A solution to our messy system for electing the president of the United States is in the works.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is gaining steam nationwide, and a bill for Florida to join the Compact has been introduced in the Florida legislature.

Recently there have been multiple articles in various local and regional media outlets pointing out the problems with the rapid growth in the Northwest Florida Region.

Having been CEO of a rapidly growing and evolving community in another state, I am all too familiar with these challenges.

Who determines who represents you?

As is often stated, count all votes; however, we should count only votes from legally registered voters. Representative democracy like ours depends on informed voter participation.

Thank you to Commission (Dave) Piech and Commissioner (Colten) Wright for voting NO regarding lifting protections for the borrow pits and our drinking water!

To Commissioners (Bob) Cole, (Sam) Parker and (James) Calkins:  Please, at least one of you reverse your vote.  You are taking absurd chances with our drinking water.

Reader distraught over Trump’s treatment

The radical left, vengeful Democrats, “bad guys,” succeeded in blaming Trump, culminating their goal to destroy our president.  Shame on them!  “Not fit to serve.”  God thought so. 

Jan. 6, 2021 was a day of reckoning and decision.

The promoters of insurrection and domestic terrorism have no place as elected representatives in Florida or any state in our union.

‘Why a bridge and not a tunnel?’

We have and will have until sometime in March (or later) a problem getting to Pensacola. We know a barge destroyed a section of the bridge. The question is, “Why?”
