It’s a crazy sports world.

I’m here to offer high school football fans in Florida a chill pill or two. Some fans might need three. The only thing I ask is that you don’t overdose on them.

When President Trump decided to care more about the NFL than hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico during a Twitter rant nearly two weeks ago, the league responded in unified fashion.

Forget about spending millions to build a new Navarre Park.

Now that people have returned their 50 cases of water to the store – or at least attempted it — because Hurricane Irma had no impact on Northwest Florida, it’s time to focus on football again.

We have now seen what Michael Carter can do on the big stage of major college football.

College football is back. I’ll pause for a moment while you cheer.

Thank God for sports.
