Navarre resident finds historical artifact on Santa Rosa Sound
On July 24, Navarre resident Doug Larson was walking along the Santa Rosa Sound when he stumbled upon a round, brown object. At first, he thought it might be a turtle.
Curious, Larson picked up what he presumed would be a shell but soon found out it was spherical. After thinking about it, he came to one conclusion: it must be a cannonball.

Over $20K seized in case of Gulf Breeze doctor accused of overprescribing pills
The Gulf Breeze doctor accused of overprescribing pain medications to her patients is being taken to court.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is the plaintiff in a case before the circuit court of the First Judicial Circuit for Santa Rosa County. Dr. Elaine Sharp, the doctor in question, is the defendant. According to court records, two banks were identified as places Sharp commonly used to make deposits.
