The year was 1944. The United States and its allies were several years into the largest war the world had ever seen. While much of the focus was on the men fighting on beaches, battlefields, on the waves and in the skies over Europe, northern Africa and throughout east Asia, there were a group of people back home dedicating themselves to the war effort as well.
Whenever a new development is announced for the Navarre area, residents voice their opinions on restaurants they’d like to see come to Navarre. One of the most popular desired developments is Chick-Fil-A.
According to a recently submitted development plan, those people might just get their wish.
April showers, bring May… sightings of Manta Rays?
Okay, that’s not exactly the saying, but during the month of May, Navarre Beach visitors had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of a Giant Manta Ray on at least two separate occasions.
In a standing-room-only crowd at the Tiger Point Community Center full of people wearing “Save Juana’s 2024” shirts, the Santa Rosa County Commission got the message. And they delivered another one, loud and clear in a show of support for long-time area business Juana’s Pagodas.
Two individuals were arrested and dozens of fraudulent Apple devices were recovered, according to information from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Homeowners on Rue La Fontaine gathered around in horror Friday, June 7, as one of their neighbors’ homes went up in smoke. Three dogs were inside the house at the time of the fire. Two were rescued and one perished.
The house in question is located at 1913 Rue La Fontaine.
