The Navarre Youth Sports Association is looking for help after heavy rains flooded their main building, gym, and other complexes. The rains came over the weekend of Sept. 14 and by Monday, Sept. 16 the NYSA had serious enough flooding issues that Santa Rosa County’s Facilities Management Department were coming by to assess damage.

With the end of Labor Day comes the unofficial end of summer. For Navarre Beach, this usually means a decline in the number of visitors and people staying at hotels and rentals.

The United Way of West Florida has spent the past eight months celebrating a major milestone in its history. Originally known as “Community Chest” of Pensacola, the United Way of West Florida is 100 years old this year. The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County (DOH-Santa Rosa) and Santa Rosa County Animal Services will host a drive-through rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats, Friday, September 27, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Pensacola State College – Milton Campus, 5988 Highway 90 in Milton.
