Priton Homes to bring 200 jobs to county
Priton LLC, a home-manufacturing company code-named Project Breeze by the Santa Rosa Economic Development Office, officially has arrived. Priton already has hired a start-up staff of nine and plans to add 200 more jobs at its Santa Rosa Industrial Park location this year.

Council Reversed Vote on Sunday Sales
Although Milton City Councilman Wesley Meiss and others had hoped the city would set a precedent to push for more Sunday alcohol sales in the north end of Santa Rosa County, the council retreated from an April 1 executive committee vote which initially had approved allowing restaurants in the downtown tourist district to serve alcohol on Sundays.

Skip Tompkins, Santa Rosa County compliance superintendent, has completed his investigation of Navarre First Addition properties identified by Navarre resident Laurie Gallup as potentially in violation of county codes. Four property owners have received or will receive abatement notices as a result.

Midway Fire receives Firehouse Subs donation
Midway Fire Chief Jonathan Kanzigg announced April 16 that the first time his department used extrication equipment donated by the Firehouse Subs Foundation was to remove Taylor Wentz and Jesse Murray, both employees of the Firehouse Subs restaurant in Gulf Breeze, from a wrecked vehicle.
