An overwhelmed Milton man in his 20s was found with seven Lortab pills in his possession. The pills had not been prescribed to him, so he received a three-year prison term because of sentencing requirements with respect to the weight of the pills, even though Lortab is mostly comprised of inactive ingredients and Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, and contains only a small fraction of the narcotic Hydrocodone.

The 2013 legislative session is a wrap, and Florida now has the largest budget in its history at $74.1 billion dollars, of which $30 billion comes from federal sources. Governor Rick Scott made $368 million line item vetoes to the budget before signing into law as the General Appropriations Act, which takes effect July 1.
