Water line repair hits snag

Board convenes in Tiger Point Thursday
Commissioners and the county zoning board will meet Thursday, Aug. 14 at the Tiger Point Community Center in an ongoing effort to hold quarterly meetings in the south end of Santa Rosa County. City of Navarre ‘in the black’
A draft feasibility study being released to the Santa Rosa County Commissioners Thursday shows that a proposed City of Navarre would have a positive cash flow without property owners paying any additional taxes. The report also said that the current estimated population of the proposed incorporated area is 42,300.

Decals support sea turtles, manatees
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced July 31 that newly designed decals are available for purchase with proceeds supporting research, rescue, rehabilitation and management of Florida’s endangered sea turtles and manatees. Rescues of manatees and sea turtles that are injured, ill or otherwise in distress are one of the many FWC conservation activities supported by decal donations.

Local anglers have say in snapper management
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that they were having five public workshops to garner input from anglers about red snapper management in state and federal waters. Based on the popularity of red snapper fishing in the northern Gulf of Mexico, four of the five workshops were held in northwest Florida.
