Paddlers journey around Florida coast
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) announced March 28 that two retired police officers from Charlotte completed a four-month journey kayaking from Big Lagoon State Park near Pensacola to Fort Clinch State Park just south of the Georgia border on the Atlantic coast.

Representatives from five northwest Florida counties spent two days in Washington D. C. last week hearing updates from top military officials and sharing ideas with lawmakers. Nearly 100 support Mobility 5k
The threat of rain and severe weather March 29 didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the first Run, Walk or Roll for Mobility 5k and 1-mile run on Navarre Beach. The morning of the event, organizers chose to push the start time from 8 to 9 a.m. to allow lingering showers to move out of the area prior to the race.
