Santa Rosa County officials are planning two public meetings to aid revision of the county’s local mitigation strategy plan, which is updated every five years. The meetings will also serve to revise the county’s flood mitigation plan.

48 pounds of pot seized at Gulf Breeze Post Office
Police were called March 25 the Gulf Breeze Post Office in reference to a suspicious package. A K-9 unit alerted on the package, which contained roughly 48 pounds of marijuana.

Chop House closes its doors
The Navarre Chop House, 8651 Navarre Parkway, closed its doors this week after less than a year in business. Owner Dave Reeves left a message with the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce that he made the “hard decision to close the business for good,” according to chamber Executive Director Tony Alexander.

New water system president pushing big plans for future
