Sgt. Kerstan Tatro of the Gulf Breeze Police Department (GBPD) underwent emergency surgery Jan. 5 for a compound fracture of his arm sustained during a traffic stop involving Amy Giorgio, 30, of Pensacola.

Navarre restroom project $10K over budget
Santa Rosa County Public Services Director Tony Gomillion advised county commissioners Jan. 5 that a volunteer effort to construct public restrooms at Navarre Park will wrap up this week. However, Gomillion requested an additional $10,000 to cover costs required to finish the project.
