Navarre restroom project $10K over budget
Santa Rosa County Public Services Director Tony Gomillion advised county commissioners Jan. 5 that a volunteer effort to construct public restrooms at Navarre Park will wrap up this week. However, Gomillion requested an additional $10,000 to cover costs required to finish the project.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRSO) has identified 43-year-old John Lee Kazee of Milton as the victim of a Dec. 28 drowning at Mayo Park in Milton.

NOAA: Juvenile admits to killing dolphin
A juvenile has admitted to shooting a bottlenose dolphin with a hunting arrow in Florida state waters, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Law Enforcement.
The dolphin was found dead more than a week after being shot in Orange Beach, Ala.
