Gov. Rick Scott has signed of pair of bills sponsored by State Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fort Walton Beach) protecting the identities of military personnel and allowing military IDs to qualify as valid identification in renewing a driver’s license.

Deputies respond to a rollover at the intersection of Shipton Street and Seascape Lane Friday, June 4.
Residents along Shipton Street and Seascape Lane could hardly believe what they saw Friday afternoon. On the backroads of Navarre, at approximately 4:30 p.m., witnesses saw an orange Jeep traveling east at a high rate of speed overturn in the middle of the street, stopping short of careening into a neighboring occupied house and backyard.

Escapee captured in Pensacola after 2 years
