The squeeze could be on soon for City of Gulf Breeze homeowners to pay special assessments for stormwater control now that officials there have acknowledged that the prospect of more government grants is unlikely.

Jason Traffanstead of Gulf Breeze was given the maximum sentence possible Tuesday by Circuit Judge John Simon for sexual acts performed on a child.

Proposals currently under consideration by the Constitution Revision Commission have been whittled down from hundreds to 37. If approved by the CRC, the proposed changes will go before Florida voters in November. Here are some of the key proposals:
