Indian Trail, N.C. — Charlotte-area animal shelter officials are hoping to find new homes for dozens of dogs that were evacuated from a shelter near Charleston, S.C. as Hurricane Matthew approached.
For the second-straight October several Tiger Point residents pleaded with the Gulf Breeze City Council to vote against a proposed 3 percent surcharge on water and sewer rates for South Santa Rosa Utility customers who live outside the municipality’s border.
A break in a Holley-Navarre Water System (HNWS) wastewater main was discovered Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the culvert at William’s Creek and U.S. Highway 98 in Navarre. HNWS staff discovered the break at 2:30 p.m. where the main crosses underneath the culvert. The pipe was shut down by HNWS.
