An update on how two big summer events fared on Navarre Beach led to a lengthy conversation at Thursday’s Tourist Development Council meeting about “disgusting” bathrooms.

At a Commission Special Rezoning Meeting on Aug 26, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners voted to table a vote to allow the development of a school at the 6000 Block of Tanglewood Drive in Milton.

The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve a request to allow the construction of a water well at the 4000 and 4004 Block of Bell Lane in Pace without objection.

The newest projected date for completion of Navarre Park has been pushed back to very late November, according to Santa Rosa County officials.

The Florida Department of Health has released its weekly COVID information and the number of new cases in Santa Rosa County is down slightly from 2,101 last week to 2,065 this week.
