Gulf Breeze Will Do gives away over $46,000 to nonprofits
Gulf Breeze Will Do, a women’s philanthropy group which funds grants supporting organizations in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach, announced its 2024 grant recipients last month. The amount of funding given out this year totals $46,548.

Shark attack survivor, Lulu Gribbin, reunites with air medical crew who saved her life
Lulu Gribbin, a 15-year-old shark attack survivor, came back to the Emerald Coast to meet some of the people who helped save her life this past June.
Okaloosa MedFlight’s emergency air medical crew was reunited with their former patient on Nov. 21 in Niceville. Gribbin has defied the odds with her remarkable recovery after she lost her right leg and left hand in the shark attack off Walton County.

Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center to hold annual ‘Sea Turtle Soiree’ Dec. 7
Each year, the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (NBSTCC) hosts a gala to raise funds for its programs and operations, which include educating visitors about marine ecosystems and helping injured or distressed sea turtles in Santa Rosa County. This year, the Sea Turtle Soiree will be held Dec. 7, at the Club at Hidden Creek in Navarre from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Farm to City food distribution planned for Nov. 26 in Milton
UF/IFAS West Florida Research and Education Center (WFREC), Feeding the Gulf Coast, and Waterfront Rescue Mission will feed 500 families in Santa Rosa County and 500 families in Escambia County this Thanksgiving holiday. This event is first come, first served with up to two families per vehicle.
