Going from middle school to high school can be a big change for some students and parents. To help ease the transition and answer questions parents and students might have, Navarre High School spent the week before spring break visiting area schools and holding an eighth grade parents night in the Raider gymnasium Thursday, March 13.

The Saenger Theatre in Pensacola has long anchored Palafox Street and been a beacon for the arts and entertainment industry in the region. On April 2, 2025, the theatre will celebrate its 100th anniversary with several events both on the anniversary date and the following Sunday.

After winning their primaries, Republican Jimmy Patronis and Democrat Gay Valimont are set to square off Tuesday, April 1, to decide who will serve as Northwest Florida’s Congressional representative.

The Santa Rosa County Clerk of Court is implementing a new and improved Tourist Development Tax online filing system effective April 1, 2025 that is designed to enhance user experience and streamline the tax filing process for our customers.  

Santa Rosa County will be conducting a second, and final, debris pickup for residents in and around the Quayside Village neighborhood in Gulf Breeze following the severe weather event that impacted the area in March 2025. The pickup will take place on Tuesday, April 1, and will include both vegetative debris and construction and demolition debris.

Last Monday marked the 10th anniversary of a tragedy Navarre residents won’t soon forget.

On March 10, 2015, a UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter carrying seven U.S. Marines and four Louisiana National Guard soldiers crashed into the Santa Rosa Sound approximately 5 miles east of the Navarre Beach Bridge. There were no survivors.

The race for Florida House of Representatives District 3 is heating up. Endorsements are being handed out and final pitches are being made to voters. With the election just a couple of weeks away, Jamie Wells, one of the candidates, decided to hold a forum with other candidates in Navarre. The event was held Monday, March 10, at Stripes Pub and Grill.
