Beginning Monday, November 4, construction crews will start necessary repairs to certain portions of the Navarre Beach Causeway seawall. Crews are scheduled to install soil anchors to newly installed portions of fronting wall and existing seawall as well as install fill (sand) to areas in need.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, Navarre Beach Utilities will turn off water to certain areas on Navarre Beach to replace a valve in the distribution center located at 8460 Gulf Blvd. The outage is expected to last approximately four hours.

One Navarre family is taking Halloween seriously, to the point of having a haunted trail in their backyard.

Jeff and Sharon O’Dell built the trail behind their home on Rosemont Drive. It weaves between terrifying corridors and features actors and other spooky details to scare those who dare to enter. The trail is open to the public on Oct. 30 and 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The War Horse Project of the Gulf Coast is a nonprofit that began as an equine therapy farm for veterans. Now, everyone is encouraged to enjoy the benefits of working with horses.

But the project is also now asking for the public’s help to feed the animals on the farm.
