Royal Rangers mix faith, fun at Navarre First Assembly

From their food pantry to mission work to community events, Navarre First Assembly of God is known for quite a few things. They are also known for their Royal Rangers outpost. Royal Rangers is a boys ministry program of the Assemblies of God churches. Founded in 1962, Royal Rangers was the brainchild of Rev. John Henry “Johnnie” Barnes, a preacher from Texas who was tasked with developing a boy’s ministry.

Community Life Church bringing Angel of Hope to their campus

A guardian angel will soon watch over the people who visit Community Life Church’s prayer labyrinth and garden. The prayer labyrinth first opened in 2015 and is designed to allow a person to connect to God through a meditative walk in prayer.

Midway Baptist to hold KidDays, basketball camps during summer

Calling all kids! Midway Baptist Church will be holding its annual MidWay KidDays events June 8 and Aug. 3. KidDays are single day, themed camps that feature games, crafts and other activities with a Biblical message for children in kindergarten (age 5) to sixth grade.  This is the eighth year Midway Baptist has held their KidDays events, however they did have to cancel them last year.

Risen Savior church bringing back soccer camp

Risen Savior Lutheran Church wants to help children hone their skills on the field of play and life this summer. From June 28 to June 30, Risen Savior will host a soccer camp to help teach children the fundamentals of the game. Admission to the camp is $25, which covers instruction, a camp T-shirt, a soccer ball, water bottle, wristband and snacks. According to Craig Born, the pastor of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, the camp sessions will emphasize individual ball skills as a well as fun games to put those skills into practice and develop teamwork.
