Navarre United Methodist Church celebrates 40 years
On Nov. 5, Navarre United Methodist Church held a 40th anniversary celebration during their Sunday service. The church also held a fellowship luncheon after the service.
Pastor David Morris delivered the sermon, where he discussed the past, present and future of the church.

Navarre United Methodist hosting bed building project for those in need
On Nov. 4, a local church will be building beds for those less fortunate.
Navarre United Methodist is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a national nonprofit which builds twin sized beds for children ages three to 17 and delivers them fully furnished. From 2012 (the year it was founded) to 2022, Sleep in Heavenly Peace has delivered approximately 140,583 beds. There are 326 chapters of the organization.

Few people think of a church as the place for a haunted house attraction, but for the Community of Christ Church in Navarre, it has become a tradition.
Although the event was last held in 2018, Danny Hawkins, Huston Hawkins and Jack Porter, the event organizers, haven’t forgotten the thrills (and chills) which make ‘Fear Forest’ a spectacle to behold.

At Navarre United Methodist Church (9474 Navarre Parkway), there are two upcoming fall events, both will be held at Navarre United States Methodist Church. The first one will be the fall concert, which is set for Friday, Oct. 20, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 6:30 p.m.

Greg Love takes over as new pastor at First Baptist Navarre
For the past two years, First Baptist Church of Navarre has searched for a new pastor to help guide the church into a new era.
In August, they found their man and Oct. 1, he officially began his tenure as pastor. Greg Love, who has spent the last nine years at Crossview Baptist Church in Tifton, Georgia, is excited for the new opportunity.

Churches help with Hurricane Idalia response
Natural disasters may bring the worst of mother nature to communities, but they can also bring the best of human nature.
An example of this is the faith based organizations which come to the aid of people impacted by storms such as hurricanes and tornadoes. In the wake of Hurricane Idalia, a category 3 storm which ravaged parts of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, these organizations, including churches, either sent supplies or volunteers to help clean up debris and rebuild.
