Woodlawn Beach Middle School students recently explored their creative side and participated in the Great Gulf Coast Arts and Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts festivals. Several students received honors and placed in the festival, and four WBMS students advanced to the All-County Festival.
Local students now have another opportunity to take a field trip to explore the outdoors. Gulf Islands National Seashore has been selected to receive a 2013 “Ticket to Ride” grant from the National Park Foundation (NPF), the official charity of America’s national parks.
The Sunshine State Young Readers program shone bright at the West Navarre Intermediate School this year. Every year, 15 titles are selected for the program by a committee of Florida librarians. Students can then vote for their favorite book and librarians can submit the winning book to the FAME (Florida Association of Media Educators) website.
Navarre High School will have the largest graduating class in the county when school comes to an end next week. In Santa Rosa County, there are 1,628 students graduating – and 420 of those are students at Navarre High.
