A Navarre woman was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after a routine traffic stop was initiated when the vehicle she was riding in failed to stop at a stop sign.

A Navarre man and a Gulf Breeze were arrested after Santa Rosa County Sheriff ’s Office deputies allegedly found 66.1 grams of fentanyl during a traffic stop in Holley.

Jeremy Brooks Dolan, 42, of Navarre, is charged with amphetamine trafficking, possession of a weapon, obstructing justice, weapon offence, resisting an officer, drug equipment possession, and two counts of drug traffi cking following a traffic stop.

At approximately 9:00 this morning, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident where it was reported that an individual in a black BMW had shot at another vehicle at the Publix in Navarre. Deputies shortly located the suspect vehicle, and a high-speed chase ensued. During the vehicle chase, spike strips were deployed without success.

The main suspect in the death of Cassie Carli, a Navarre woman and mother, has been indicted in St. Clair County (Ala.). Marcus Spanevelo, 35, was set to appear in court Tues., Dec. 6 for a preliminary hearing but the hearing was canceled.

A Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputy was fired after he was arrested for fraud on Tues., Dec. 6. The arrest came after an investigation into alleged insurance fraud by Corey Jones, 36. The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Insurance Fraud with the Department of Financial Services.

A former Navarre High School and current University of West Florida student is behind bars after an investigation uncovered 30 files of obscene material, Florida Department of Law Enforcement said. James Paul Tupas Roquelara, 21, of Pensacola, was arrested by FDLE on 30 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, and one count each of promoting a sexual performance of a child and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. All of which are felony charges.

A former Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy will be seeing the inside of a federal prison cell for the next year. Scott P. Haines, 50, of Milton, was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison, following his previous guilty plea on the charge of making material false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation during an elder exploitation investigation. United States Attorney Jason R. Coody announced the sentence.

New details have emerged from the arrest of John William Kapolczynski Jr., a former NJROTC instructor and substitute teacher at Navarre High. Kapolczynski, 46, of Navarre, was initially arrested on Nov. 4 for obscene communication, public order crimes, and a sex offense. On Nov. 11, Kapolczynski’s charges were changed to lewd and lascivious behavior. He is currently out on $25,000 bond, according to Santa Rosa County Jail View.

A suspect in the Pine Ranch Drive shooting case has been arrested. Joshua Richard Huston, 47, is currently in Santa Rosa County Jail for his role in an incident that put a man in the hospital with a gunshot wound on Mon., Nov. 7. According to the warrant report for Huston’s arrest, deputies responded to a reported shooting at 2075 Pine Ranch Drive in Navarre yesterday at 2 a.m. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, the deputies encountered Huston, who owns the undeveloped lot where the shooting occurred.
