The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reported 29-year-old Tonisha Lache Crowell of Fort Walton Beach was taken to the jail in Crestview at about 1 a.m., March 1. She is charged with murder and aggravated child abuse in connection to the death of a newborn.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported 26-year-old Brianna Strum of Milton was sentenced Feb. 20 to more than 11 years in prison on a charge of DUI manslaughter stemming from a fatal crash April 2013 on I-10 in Escambia County. Strum entered a plea of no contest in December 2013 to the charge.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office announced it is actively seeking 46-year-old Joseph Warran McMillan, Jr. in connection with multiple thefts of construction style batteries. McMillan is charged with three counts of criminal mischief, two counts of felony burglary and one count of felony larceny.
