A Pace man is behind bars on a charge of homicide that could cause death, after a domestic violence fight with his girlfriend. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office report says that Joseph Bruney of Sequoia Drive in Pace stabbed or cut his girlfriend multiple times, and she was taken to the hospital.
Terrance Davin Frazier, 30, of Florosa Court in Mary Esther is being held in Santa Rosa County for the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store, located at 9576 Navarre Parkway. Initially Frazier provided the Mary Esther address upon arrest but subsequently the new address he provided is in the 8200 block of Lucena Street in Navarre.
The father and son duo, Marvan Darby Sr. and Jr. have a long-standing history of arrests in Santa Rosa County. The two most recently were accused of stealing a lawnmower and weed eater out of garage on Segura Street, around the corner from where they live on Andorra Street.
John Niven Cotner, age 26 of Mary Esther, gave deputies chase Monday afternoon after shoplifting several items from Walmart on Navarre Parkway. Deputies responded to the store after the asset protection department saw Cotner walk out of the store without paying for merchandise. They confronted him but he left the store.
Santa Rosa County deputies responded to a shooting Sunday afternoon shortly after noon on Quail Roost Drive off of Panhandle Trail in Navarre. According to a report released by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Rich Aloy, the two men involved were father and son.
Holley resident and Hurlburt Field Intelligence Squadron member Douglas J. Plate, age 53, pled guilty Monday to receipt, possession, and access with intent to view child pornography. The guilty plea was announced by Christopher P. Canova, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida ahead of the May 9 trial date that was set.
Jackie Ellen Passmore, 22, of Milton was arrested on May 6 for homicide – negligent manslaughter when her mother, Karen Passmore passed away. Deputies say the death was caused by the culpable negligence of her daughter.
A Milton woman was described as being in a coma and unresponsive at a local hospital early Friday morning following an attack by her former boyfriend. At press time, Navarre Press was unable to update her current condition.
