Brandon Worley, 35, of Winners Circle in Navarre was arrested Oct. 17 and charged with grand theft, trespassing and criminal mischief with property damage more than $1,000. 

Jon English, 28, of Gulf Breeze, was arrested Oct. 15 for his second battery offense and resisting an officer without violence.

Marvin Eugene Darby Jr., 20, of Andorra Street in Navarre was arrested Oct. 15 for alleged obstruction of justice in connection with an upcoming burglary trial involving himself and Devin Michael Colonel, 21, of Parkridge Drive in Navarre.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a Fort Walton Beach apartment complex.  Jose Raymond Sanchez, a 20-year-old Fort Walton Beach man, suffered a gunshot wound to the groin on Pocahontas Drive near a dumpster outside Colony House Apartments the morning of Oct. 9.  He was transported to a Pensacola hospital for treatment.

In a release issued by State Attorney Bill Eddins, it was announced that a Santa Rosa County jury has convicted Steven Earl Kimmons of sexual battery. 

According to a press release from the Santa Rosa County Sherriff’s office, a two-month investigation stemming from narcotics intelligence received from multiple sources resulted in a search warrant being served at 6 a.m. on Oct. 8.

Stephen Troy Webb, 30, of Pace, was found guilty Oct. 8 of sexual battery upon a child less than 12 years of age and lewd or lascivious molestation.

Two employees of Tom Thumb Stores were arrested Thursday afternoon Oct. 8 as suspects in an employee-related theft over the last several weeks while employees at the store.

Felix Valle-Ulieses, 45, of Tortuga Street in Navarre, was arrested Saturday evening, Sept. 26 for lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim age 12 to 16.

A longtime veteran of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has died at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center following an early morning shooting in Shalimar.
