Teacher charged with resisting police officer
A fifth-grade teacher at West Navarre Intermediate School was arrested Aug. 24 on a charge stemming from an incident that took place in February, according to report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office.
Navarre resident arrested on child porn charges
A Navarre man was arrested Friday on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, according to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE report).
On Aug. 18, FDLE agents executed a search warrant at the home of Zachary Michael Morales, 31, after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The search and subsequent forensic analysis uncovered images of child pornography on multiple computers, including some images kept in a folder named “school work.”
Morales was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail. He was released on $100,000 bond.
Milton woman convicted of aggravated manslaughter
Jackie Ellen Passmore of Milton was convicted of aggravated manslaughter of a disabled adult at jury trial in the Circuit Court of Santa Rosa County Aug. 3, according to a press release from state attorney Bill Eddins.

Navarre man convicted of assault, battery, fleeing
Christopher Delaine Bryant, age 29 of Navarre, was found guilty by a Santa Rosa County jury June 23. According to a release issued by State Attorney Bill Eddins, Bryant was found guilty of two counts of Aggravated Battery Upon a Law Enforcement Officer, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Fleeing or Attempted to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer in an Agency Vehicle with Sire and Lights Activated at High Speed, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Navarre man charged with sexual battery
Sean Michael Allen, 44 of Frontera Steet in Navarre, was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault on a victim under 12 and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior on a victim under 16. The charges stem from incidents earlier this year.
