Elder abuse, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm by a felon are just a few of the charges facing a man who allegedly beat a 90-year-old Navarre resident while trying to rob him then handcuffed him.

Just after 10 p.m., Nov. 15, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a robbery at the 3000 block of Barlow Road in Navarre. Deputies arrived on scene and the suspect, described as a black male 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 230 lbs. and wearing gray shorts, a black hoodie, black sneakers and had a small firearm was not located. No one was injured during the course of the robbery.

The Club II in Gulf Breeze had unwelcome visitors last month, and Facebook landed two of those alleged intruders behind bars.

A Milton man is facing attempted murder charges after a stabbing Nov. 9 that put two people in the hospital.

According to The Republic, a newspaper in Columbus, Indiana, the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics enforcement team simultaneously served a related warrant at an address in Columbus.

Trent Dumas, age 19, of 7743 Navarre Parkway, was arrested Aug. 31 in connection to the string of vehicle burglaries on unlocked cars in and around Navarre.
