Navarre teen arrested on drugs and weapon charges

A Navarre teen, James Taylor, 18, and his accomplice Tristan Turner, 17, were arrested Nov. 30 in Milton on various felony charges including using a weapon in the commission of a felony, intent to sell marijuana and larceny.

Armed home invasion, suspect arrested

On Friday, Nov. 27 a call was made on a burglary in progress with shots fired on Sevilla Street.  Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the call and dispatch advised them that the suspect was being detained by the homeowner.

Jay woman accused of sexual assault on high school student

A 45-year-old Jay woman, Kimberly Ann Seevers, is accused of sexually assaulting a Jay High School student and providing alcohol to minors at her home.  The incidents allegedly occurred in January and/or February.

Navarre man stabs mother’s boyfriend on Thanksgiving

One family’s Thanksgiving came to a violent end in Navarre.  According to an arrest report issued by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Benjamin Luther, 24, of Tavira Street in Navarre was arrested for aggravated battery and domestic violence.

Tusa leaves hospital before deputies make arrest

The man who led police on a high-speed chase and crashed his vehicle on East Bay Boulevard, Mark Anthony Tusa, has left the hospital where he was airlifted before deputies could arrest him.

Man arrested for battery on elderly

On Thursday, Nov. 19 Samuel Posey Brookshire of Milton was arrested for aggravated battery on his elderly cousin.  The incident occurred on Nov. 18 at a Coachman Road residence and a Santa Rosa deputy was dispatched to the disturbance.

26 guns stolen in Pace home burglary

Two home security cameras identified a Milton man, Roy Pike, as the principal in a Pace home robbery involving the theft of 26 guns.  The burglary was reported on Nov. 4 by the homeowner.

Expired tag leads to drug charges

Christopher Alexander Lindsay of Navarre was stopped by Gulf Breeze Police for an expired tag on Sunday, Nov. 15.  The police report filed says that when the officer asked for Lindsay’s driver license, he said he didn’t have it.  Through a system check, the officer discovered that Lindsay’s license was revoked for 60 months in 2013 for being a habitual traffic offender.

Traffic stop leads to marijuana bust

On Tuesday, Nov. 10 a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 98 at the Santa Rosa County South Annex on a car with an expired tag and inoperable tail lights.

Daniel Lee held on robbery charges

Daniel Ferry Lee of Cantonment has been transferred to the Santa Rosa County Jail and is being held without bond on charges stemming from a robbery at knife-point of the Underwood Food Store on Highway 87 South Tuesday, Nov. 10.  He is currently facing multiple felony charges including fleeing without disregard of safety to persons or property, assault on an officer, and robbery with a weapon.
