State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced on March 29, 2022, that Circuit Court Judge Clifton Drake sentenced Daniel Lee Weidman of Gulf Breeze to serve a total of six years in county jail. Those six years will be followed by four years of probation for the thirty-five criminal counts of which a Santa Rosa County jury convicted him after a jury trial on February 3, 2022.

A Panama City was arrested in Santa Rosa County after we e k s – l ong obscene communications he allegedly had with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl. He was on his way to meet the supposed 13-year-old in a Pensacola park, according to the Pensacola Police Department.

William Edward White, 42, was arrested and charged with using a twoway communication device to facilitate a felony, using a computer to seduce or solicit a child and misrepresenting his age, and traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child.

A 73-year-old Navarre man was arrested after authorities received a video of him battering his stepdaughter over the home’s front door being open. According to the man’s arrest report from Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, an 11-minute video showing the man battering his 19-year-old stepdaughter was sent to authorities by the victim’s mother.

A 38-year-old Navarre woman was arrested Dec. 6 for battery – domestic violence after attacking her husband. According to the woman’s arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department, the woman called authorities to report that she was sexually battered by her husband. Authorities say the woman’s husband found out she was cheating on him, but the pair decided to try working on their relationship for the sake of their three children.
