Help Feed the Children, Santa Rosa Woman’s Club’s two-month-long food drive for Children in Crisis’ food pantry, collected 9,058 pounds of food – the equivalent of $15,861 worth of groceries.

Splash pad opens for season in Milton

The Milton Splash Pad opens for the season on Saturday at 10 a.m.

It will be open through Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and closed Monday for maintenance.

The City’s Splash Pad is located in Carpenter’s Park, at the intersection of Broad Street and Munson Highway.

The Splash Pad Rules are posted at the facility.

Tongue-tying world record holder hosts PAWS fundraiser

Al Gliniecki and his wife, Jeannette Cooper Gliniecki, are celebrating the one-year anniversary of adopting their pup by hosting a championship for folks who can tie cherry stems into knots. The event will raise money for the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, which is where they got Bambi.
