Morris competed in the armed solo division with 80 others from around the nation and wound up third overall.

It has proven to be another banner year for the Navarre Navy Junior ROTC unit.

The Raider battalion came away with a top 20 finish at the national meet in Pensacola earlier this month, placing 14th. There are more than 600 units world-wide.

At the 2022 Boston Marathon, held April 18, there were just over 25,000 participants, according to the Boston Globe.

The participants came from across the world to compete, including two from Navarre. One of those Navarre residents that ran is Maryetta Casey.

World Class Pageantry held its fourth scholarship pageant on April 16, 2022, and four young women were crowned in this year’s inaugural Miss Gulf Breeze Florida 2022 and Miss Pensacola Beach Florida 2022 pageant hosted by the Miss Santa Rosa County 2021-2022 queens, Miss Navarre Florida 2022 queen, and Miss Escambia County 2021- 2022 queens.

Residents invited to hear Santa Rosa County Quality of Life Survey results

Results of the first-ever Santa Rosa County Quality of Life Survey, conducted last year by Mason Dixon Polling & Strategy, will try to answer those and other questions. Pensacola businessman, philanthropist, and consultant Quint Studer will share survey results at a CivicCon Town Hall from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, April 18, in the County Commission Chambers in the Santa Rosa County Administrative Building, 6495 Caroline St., Milton.
