Treasure hunters from across the region are expected to converge on the Panhandle along the Highway 90 corridor as Flea Across Florida, the state’s longest flea market, comes to Santa Rosa County, April 12-14.
“How unfair!” exclaimed Kim Macarthy, former Main Street Milton president, regarding a local non-profit organization receiving a 25-year lease from the Santa Rosa County Commission for a 5,000-square-foot historic building on Highway 90 in downtown Milton for a rate of only $10 per month and without a request for proposal process.
“I have good news,” said Santa Rosa County Commissioner Jim Melvin regarding his trip to Tallahassee for the Florida Association of Counties Legislative Days on April 3-5. “The Sovereign Immunity Bill has gone away. All 67 counties reared up and really roared. It’s dead and never coming back.”
